Gioia Pan unveiled a groundbreaking collection at Taipei Fashion Week 2024 Spring/Summer, marking the first integration of generative art into fashion. Renowned personalities, including Golden Melody Band members, Lin Junyi, Wang Liren, Zhang Yanming, emerging music producer Lu Zixiang, actor Lin Congxuan, writer and host Xie Zheqing, and fashion experts, graced the event. The SS24 collection, themed “Blossom,“ showcased Pan’s expertise in knitting techniques and introduced generative art through AI algorithms. The presentation featured solid craftsmanship and futuristic fashion imagery, leaving guests in awe. The collection drew inspiration from changing seasons and life’s ups and downs. Pan’s innovative approach involved incorporating generative artist Jimi Wen’s works into fabrics, symbolizing the tension between nature and artificial computer calculations. The collection debuted with “(un)//void//ble,“ followed by “teardrop“ and concluded with haute couture pieces showcasing Pan’s mastery in knitting techniques. Challenges included the bold use of generative art, collaboration with “Taiwan Rich Thick“ for fabric flowers, and exploring technology-art integration. The fashion show featured actor Xie Jiajian’s debut, complemented by meticulous styling by students from Taipei City University of Science and Technology and Fu Jen Catholic University’s Institute of Textiles and Clothing.
