Ephesus (1967)

Turkey. Several shots of ancient ruins in Ephesus, near the western Turkish coast; a man looks at reassembled statues in a museum. Commentator tells us this is the city to which St. John brought the Virgin Mary to live when Christ had been crucified; we see a nun go into a house reputed to be the home of Mary. Inside, the nun lights a candle then kneels to pray; the house has been turned into a shrine. A man kneels and prays before a statue of Mary. Cuts exist - see separate record.
