Easter spotting of Daugavpils TRAMS | Ongoing tram track upgrades

Please see Easter spotting of Daugavpils Trams video, where I show trams operating on all 4 routes and the current status of ongoing tram track upgrade projects. On this day, 71-623 and 71-911E City Star trams were working on routes. Other trams such as: 71-605A (KTM-5A), 71-631 and Tatra T3 were not operating. You can also see the unique 71-608 (KTM-8) tram, which is not operating anymore. Trams in Daugavpils may not be the backbone of the entire public transport system in the city, but they certainly are very popular. New single-track line is being built between tram depot and Stropi to connect lines 1,2 with the line 3. Also, there is a construction going on Vasarnīcu iela to move the existing tram tracks a bit further from the road. It’s nice to see that new public transportation projects are being implemented in Daugavpils, Latvia. Tramways in Daugavpils are operated by Daugavpils Satiksme company.
