Traditional Welsh Nursing shawl/ Blanket Carry | Baby Wrap/Sling Tutorial
Nursing shawls are used by mothers to carry babies around in a way that left them free to carry on with their work. Known as the Welsh Way, the soft shawl would be wrapped around both mother and child, providing a practical way for the mother to keep her baby close to her while continuing to work. In general, the Welsh shawl is approximately 6 feet square and made of wool welsh flannel. In this video, I use a flanel blanket with similar size.
