Gabriele Studer plays the choral-prelude “Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme“ BWV 645 by Johann Sebastian BACH at the organ of Cristo Re’s Church, ALBA. GABRIELE STUDER, born 15th January 1982, in Alba (Italy), studied organ and organ composition, then he became a student of Jean-Paul Imbert at the “Schola Cantorum” in Paris, where he obtained the “Diplôme de Concert” with the accreditation: Très bien à l’unanimité et félicitations du jury. He obtained also the Diplôme d’Études Musicales” at the “Conservatoire à rayonnement régional” di Versailles. He studied organ improvisation at the “Conservatoire National de Région de Saint-Maur” in Paris in the class of Pierre Pincemaille and has attended a large number of specialization masterclasses with Jean-Paul Imbert (Alpe d’Huez / France); with Massimo Nosetti (Sicily / Italy), with Olivier Latry (Cuneo/ Italy) and with David Briggs (Roma / Italy
