Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah dies at 86

The emir of oil-rich Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, has died, after three years in power. He was 86. Al Jazeera’s Bernard Smith takes a look back at his life. Bader Al Saif is Assistant professor of History at Kuwait University and says the Emir will be remembered fondly in the country.
