Thanks for watching! ---------- Short Clip Series Episode 670: In this episode fly with me on an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-700 as we depart from Sitka Rocky Gutierrez Airport (SIT) on a stunningly beautiful afternoon. During this departure, we are treated to some of the best scenery imaginable. First, as we back taxi down the runway, the John O’Connell Bridge is visible, along with the city of Sitka. In the background are the Sitka Mountains. Some still snowcapped, even though it’s June 8th. As we depart the runway that could be an aircraft carrier, we are treated too unbelievable views of Sitka Sound, which opens up to the Alexander Archipelago and the greater Gulf of Alaska.
