TAPADO ARNIS FMA LAGAS TAPADO

Last 9 June 2019, Tapado Maestro Rey M had a great opportunity to meet the “Smoking Sticks“ - Grand Master Rodel Dagooc of the Dagooc Arnis System (DAS) at the Rizal Park, Manila. GM Dagooc, also an Ilonggo from Iloilo, along with the other FMA masters in the group (my apologies, not that good with names) openly welcomed the presence of another FMA among their midst, can’t thank him enough for the pleasure to shake hands with him. With the permission of the “Smoking Sticks“, LAGAS TAPADO was able to demonstrate this unique Arnis discipline involving use of a longer stick. (It’s the first time for the Negros boys to set foot in Luneta 🙂) The quick demo, though brief, is hoped to provide its audience an insight, the awareness on how TAPADO looks like - and hopefully, understand a bit of the principles behind the art.
