This is the extraordinary Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 in Prototype/Test Mule version that I had the pleasure of filming but, above all, hearing in action at the Misano Adriatico circuit. We are in a couple of midweek days dedicated to racing car tests. To everyone’s amazement, Lamborghini dropped its ace, the pinnacle of Hypercars for track-only use. Developed in collaboration with Lamborghini Squadra Corse and produced in only 40 units, it’s intended for owners who will drive it in a program of exclusive events specially organized to have fun on the best circuits all over the world. In the central rear position, we find the huge (L539) naturally aspirated V12 engine capable of developing 830hp. Traction to the rear wheels only is managed by a new 6-speed X-trac sequential gearbox, positioned transversely at the rear.
