Northampton Saints - Premiership Rugby Champions | Tribute (23/24)

A decade has passed since Northampton Saints last lifted the Premiership Trophy, and a new group of players have cemented themselves as legends alongside the likes of Dylan Hartley, Tom Wood and Stephen Myler. Despite rocky beginnings, the Saints quickly found their footing after a doggish victory against the Newcastle Falcons. From there, they maintained their excellent run of form - with the occasional blemish in-between - that somersaulted them into a home semi-final. It proved to be their third successive victory against Saracens, who have arguably been their bogey team for many years. A return to Twickenham saw them face a belligerent Bath squad who refused to roll over, and only a late George Hendy break, which fed a stunning Alex Mitchell try, proved to be the difference. It was a season painted in sentiment, with fond farewells gifted to club legends Courtney Lawes and Lewis Ludlam. Surrounding them was a team who never backed down, never gave up and even when they weren’t at their best, the Northampton Saints pulled through. Congratulations on winning the Gallagher Premiership!
