This species of bird, also known as the blue-winged siva (Actinodura cyanouroptera), is a species of bird in the family Leiothrichidae, which belongs to the family of birds called minlas. Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Tibet, and Vietnam are some of the countries that it is found in, as well as other places in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. It is natural for moist montane forests to occur in subtropical or tropical climates.
