The first half of the debut full-length by this new incarnation of the Norwegian tyrant known as Ggatzshriiegk (Vorgfang, Altertum, Moonshrine). Ancient evil Black Metal rooted in the old traditions. With torch in hand, and enmity towards the human race, Ggatzshriiegk sets off into the middle of the nocturnal woods in search of isolation and gnosis. Cold and murderous hymns, often with some Punk-ish viscerality reminiscing to me with projects like early Gorgoroth, but with a dual guitar approach that definitely brings to mind Odious Hiss or Blodryne.
