Spiral Concentrator (Test unit) - Mining

MD Spiral concentrator for continuous separation of heavy minerals. This test unit collected nearly 100% of the heavy minerals without much tuning. I did have losses of gold in the minus 150 mesh size fraction but of course this is just an old test unit. I’m sure I will be able to fine tune my recovery with a newer model more rightly matched to the gold in my deposit. This is a relatively steep “all around“ test unit that would probably be better suited to upgrading material with a much higher percentage of VHM’s. (very heavy minerals) Plus this unit has only four turns and a 6 or 7 turn unit would allow the ultra fine gold to migrate into the concentrate line. Material was screened to -20 mesh and did not need de-sliming. Over all it produced excellent results.
