Harriet Krijgh – Rachmaninoff: How fair this spot Op. 21 No. 7
Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943)
How fair this spot Op. 21 No. 7
Harriet Krijgh, cello
Magda Amara, piano
From the album ‘Silent Dreams’
“This album is incredibly dear to me. The sixteen songs that I selected could be considered as a diary, my diary. Of all my recordings this album probably comes closest to the person that I am. My music is the purest filter I possess. It fills me with gratitude. Music has the power to open doors to better times and worlds, as Schubert’s ‘An die Musik’ promises. I honestly hope that this album conveys all these different emotions. And most importantly, that it touches.”
