The course produced by Polska Fundacja Upowszechniana Nauki (Polish Foundation for Science Advancement) and Telewizja Polska SA (Polish State Television) is conducted under the auspices of the Minister of National Education. The scientific concept of the course was developed by Prof. Władysław Miodunka. Professor of the Jagiellonian University; who is an outstanding Polish specialist in the field of Teaching polish as a Foreign Language. The course was designed as a TV series consisting of thirty episodes, each lasting thirty minutes. the episodes are accompanied by a coordinated coursebook. This approach allows for the introduction of linguistic layers as well as introducing Poland - a country of diverse landscape, fascinating architecture and cultural heritage. It shows all aspects of the everyday life of a Polish family. The DVD is recorded with a monolingual Polish track.
