The first of a series of drills that we will be posting often.
Cat Drop and Roll is a very fun drill exercise, it not only drills your movement but also conditions your body.
As seen on the video the idea is to do a small cat leap on to the wall using the re bound to let go of the wall as you lightly land on your feet and perform a backward roll. React quickly, look ahead and approach the wall for the next leap. Try to take off with feet together rather than a split stride take off.
You can find a wall with grass to land on instead if you are starting.
You can also add a climb up on every cat leap for more difficulty.
Do it on reps of 10 or so and make sure to work your rolls on both sides.
You can speed it up or slow it down to your desire.
Stay light on your feet, wall and ground. Check the area accordingly. Maintain clean form and have fun.
