Finnair operating Lufthansa flights?!! Finnair Airbus A350-900 (A359) in Montreal (YUL/CYUL)

An unexpected switch! Eurowings Discover will be operating the Munich - Montreal route from June 2nd to July 31st. Eurowings Discover leased some Finnair A350’s to operate this route, along with other routes including on Calgary and Halifax flights. Eurowings Discover is Lufthansa’s low cost leisure carrier, the airline is growing rapidly. It has always been Lufthansa who operated the Munich and Frankfurt to Montreal route. This is quite the change in pace for the German carrier - to use their leisure airline on this route. Eurowings Discover is trying to grow it’s transatlantic presence but can’t get aircraft fast enough. Eurowings Discover took over the route from Lufthansa just for a few months, and the route will return to Lufthansa by August. This is just the latest long-haul Lufthansa route which has been transferred to Eurowings.
