Iguazu National Park closed for safety reasons after flooding

The Iguazu Falls, on the border between Brazil and Argentina, remained closed on Wednesday due to the heavy flooding of the Iguazu River. It is also the first time the iconic park was closed to visitors because of flooding. According to the site’s administration, more than 60 of the park’s footbridges, including those leading to the famous Devil’s Throat waterfall, have been destroyed by the overflowing waters.
