Cold Acid Flask Falconer - Life Build For Cycle 2 | Corruption 2043 Preview [LAST EPOCH]

Cycle 2 of LE starts on July 9th and we’re going CAF falconer again with a number of buffs and nerfs impacting the cycle 1 builds. Basically, whilst low life is still possible, it’s not as strong as before as ward has been nerfed from 2 sources: the Aerial Assault ward stack node and Frostbite Shackles. Life is the play and we’ll probably have higher dps. Previously, i’d pushed this build to 10xx corruption before switching to the low life build, as you can see it has no issues handling 2k with only 2k life. However, the dusk shroud bug fix may gut our survivability, I won’t lie. Perhaps 100% GB and stacking dodge is enough. TBA. FYI I will be starting merchant guild to hopefully snag 4 LPs cheap early again. Cycle 1 low life build corruption 2043: You could get 15k ward stacked easily which was op with the amount of dodge you got off dusk shroud. Probs can only get 8-10k max now. Base 1.1 life build: Note: a crystal wand is taken over Frozen Ire for the 60 mana early. Once you get T7 throwing cost red rings, swap to frozen ire. Gives more frostbite base dam even unslammed. Wand and all res blessing temporarily. Aspirational 1.1 life build: Starter filter: Endgame filter: Written guide: Mattjestic reviewed the life build: ❗️Flat health blessing shown in vid should be Rahyeh (gives you double life leech with Bleeding Heart) as per life planners. ⬆️ Level up as poison flask until you get Vial. Same setup but run a 2nd wep or shield. A shield like Cradle of the Erased will make you immortal in the campaign. 🦅🦅🦅 Cycle 2 changes: BUFFS - Frostbite now deals 50 damage (from 36) 🤑🤑🤑 % damage increase. - Alchemical Proficiency (the flask mana reduction node) now also grants 3% more damage per point. We normally don’t run it but it now gives 15% damage with a 5 node investment. Will need to lose some flask travel speed to max it though but that won’t affect our dps. Also debilitate is our only source of frailty in the setup which is a huge defensive loss in high corruption so might need to add that back and only run 3-4 AP. - Haste, Frenzy, and Immobilize can no longer be replaced by stacks with a lower remaining duration (e.g. a Haste effect with 4 seconds remaining cannot be replaced by a new one with a 2 second duration) - Snowblind: Now also grants chill immunity. Now also grants 16-24% more armor against chilled enemies. Now also grants 16-24% more armor against blinded enemies. Huge. Do they stack? Fuck knows. NERFS - Gustborne Guard ward nerf by 50%. “Gustborne Guard converts the health gain from Healing Gust to ward at 50% reduced effect (from no reduction).” - Smoke Trap’s chance to grant Dusk Shroud per second spent arming is now 30% (from 40%). It was due but still broken. Arm time nerf doesn’t affect us really. - Fixed a bug where traps triggered to explode by exceeding the maximum active trap limit had an unintentionally high chance to trigger gaining Dusk Shroud from the Smoke Traps node. This is expected to significantly reduce the amount of Dusk Shroud stacks gained in typical use cases. - Frostbite Shackles: Now grants 1% ward retention per 2% uncapped cold resistance (from 1% ward retention per 1% uncapped cold resistance). As we stacked over 700% cold res, that is a lot of stable ward lost. - Snowdrift: Now grants 1% cold penetration with Frostbite per 10% freeze rate multiplier (from 2% per 10%). Nerf to all frostbite builds but we still get double cold pen from Knowledge of Immunity x Snowdrift. Summary: Probably more damage than before, yes we lose some cold penetration but we gain a LOT of base damage on frostbite and a multiplier on alchemical proficiency. Low life build has been gutted with the above ward nerfs but the life build is unaffected by them defensively. We’ll have more armor than before with the new Snowblind affixes which will be dope with Shurikens! Can probably reach 4k easily. Full patch notes: Sorry for any lag in the vid.
