Castle Elkhounds (1959)

Downton Castle, Ludlow, Shropshire. The Elkhound is a like a short stocky Alsatian. In this story there are shots of the dogs being fed by Janice Wilkins, the dogs being groomed, walked round the grounds of the castle, and 2 week old puppies being weighed and put back near ’mum’. The castle, built in 1770, looks magnificent and the family have lived there for 200 years. Note : The documentation mentions Heather Hornell, Mrs K’s daughter, as being one of the dog walkers.
