Boneshakers (1949)

Bedfordshire. M/Ss and L/S of five men riding log bicycle down country lane, M/Ss of the men getting off and pushing the cycle up hill. M/Ss of the men cycling down hill on the multicycle. L/S of the quaint little village of Beechwood Green near Luton. Various people can be seen riding a variety of old bikes. M/S of old boneshaker tricycle. A man rides at the front whilst a woman sits between the back wheel turning the handles with her arms (looks like hard work !). The couple drop off small boy at school before cycling off again. M/S of young lady standing at bus stop. She raise her arm and flags down old bike made in 1895, she sits on a seat at the front and cycles away. M/Ss of man riding old boneshaker with basket attached tot he front made in 1865.
