I-795 remains closed after tanker fire

A massive fire erupted early Friday morning from a fuel tanker in Pikesville, closing Interstate 795. The fire shut down I-795 where it meets the Baltimore Beltway. I-795 remained shut down through the noon hour. Maryland State Police tweeted that troopers were called just before 6 a.m. to the northbound lanes of I-795 and that the truck’s driver was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
