-An Irregular Sound is a sound that you would not typically expect without knowing that particular grammatical exception. The Ow produces the Short Vowel O sound and the W sound which is typical for this Short Vowel ending. However, the Ou in the “Out“ ending words also produce the “ow“ sound.
