Spectators, Runners Crowd Pyongyang Streets for Marathon Race

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on Sunday held its 28th marathon which is better known as the Mangyongdae Prize International Marathon. Sunday’s race in Pyongyang drew over 1,700 runners with 1,100 of them hailing from other countries and regions. Though specified as an IAAF Bronze Label Road Race, the Pyongyang marathon turned out to be a race more about friendship than competition.
