Written by Bob Stone and featuring the ubiquitous “Wrecking Crew“ as backing musicians, this was the song that gave Cher’s career a boost after a four year absence from the charts. Released in 1971 it topped the charts in Canada and the USA and peaked at #4 in Britain.
