Eliot Sumner’s 2014 EP, her first under her own name, still bore some of the synth-pop hallmarks of her output as I Blame Coco, but its release captured a new audience with a renewed sense of focus and clarity. There are some more sophisticated influences on the record, from her favorite band as a teenager, the Bad Seeds, to bands like Cluster, Faust, and Kraftwerk. Following the release of the EP, Eliot joined Lykke Li as support on her European tour dates. This year, Eliot embarked on her first North American tour with On an On after releasing a series of four singles and music videos, and recently announced her first full-length album, “Information”, will be released in January 2016.
