Uccisi dal Darwinismo

Le idee hanno conseguenze, e la teoria dell’evoluzione è un complesso di idee che hanno esercitato notevoli conseguenze sulla società. Queste idee sono penetrate molto più profondamente nelle nostre credenze e nei nostri valori di quanto possiamo ammettere. Tesi centrale del darwinismo è che tutti i viventi si siano evoluti da un precursore ancestrale tramite un processo di selezione naturale che agisce mediante mutazioni genetiche casuali e ricombinazione di geni. La tesi ha originato almeno tre ‘grandi’ (nel senso di ‘notevoli’) idee che hanno avuto conseguenze significative sull’umanità.
