All Na’ats have been composed by Mian Yousaf Salahuddin (aka Yousaf Salli). Na`at is a poetry that specifically praises the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Commonly the term Naat-Shareef (Exalted Poetry) is reserved and used for poetry in the praise of Muhammad (PBUH) written in Bengali, Urdu, English, Turkish, Persian, Arabic, Punjabi & Sindhi. People who recite Naat are known as Naat Khawan or Sana’a-Khua’an. A Manqabat is a Sufi devotional poem, in praise of any Sufi saint.
