Curtis Sliwa shares vision for NYC in race against Mamdani, Cuomo, and Adams

Meet Curtis Sliwa, the Republican candidate for NYC mayor and well-known New York City activist who founded the Guardian Angels. This is the 1970s nonprofit that gained notoriety for its volunteer crime-fighting patrols and signature red berets. Sliwa is outlining his mayoral plans with LiveNOW’s Josh Breslow, as his race continues against Zohran Mamdani and Andrew Cuomo. Sliwa is famously known for creating the “Magnificent 13,“ a civilian group formed in the 1970s to fight violence on the streets. The group eventually evolved into the Guardian Angels by 1979. The GOP nominee for Mayor wants to repeal 42-1A, which he says hurts small landlords. Sliwa also supports discretionary funding and says he’ll meet with every City Council member to hear district-specific concerns. Subscribe to LiveNOW from FOX!
