F-16 test uçuşlarımızdan birinde feet üzerinde irtifada (13 km yüksekte) bıraktığımız İZ’ler... Tıpkı soğuk havada verdiğimiz sıcak ve nemli nefesin buharlaşması gibi, CONTRAIL, jet motoru egsozundan, yüksek irtifanın -60 derece civarındaki soğuk ortamında çıkan sıcak gaz içinde bulunan su buharının (nem) aniden donmasıyla oluşur ve zamanla soğudukça kaybolan bir iz olarak görülür... Contrails (Condensed Trails) are line-shaped clouds produced by aircraft engine exhaust or changes in air pressure, typically at aircraft cruise altitudes several miles above the Earth’s surface. Contrails are composed primarily of water, in the form of ice crystals. The condensation trail left behind jet aircrafts are called contrails. Contrails form when hot humid air from jet exhaust mixes with environmental air of
