Brian Wenzel Channel 7 - 1992

You may remember Adelaide Icon, Brian Wenzel (now aged 89) from A Country Practice, where he played the part of Wombat loving Cop, Frank Gilroy. Wenzel was one of only two stars of the show to play a part of from beginning to end, 1981-1993. (the other being Shane Porteous who played Doctor Terence Elliot). Wenzel has spent over 70 years in the entertainment industry, from stage acting, TV, circus performing, and films. He has won a silver Logie for his portrayal of Frank Gilroy. Wenzel has also had parts in TV shows, Division 4, Matlock Police, Homicide, The Young Doctors, Cop Shop and Certain Women. His movies include The Odd Angry Shot, Allison’s Birthday and Deadline
