Sadly my synth has been on life support for the last few days. It’s not quite out of the woods just yet, but whilst I trouble shoot the last few problems, I thought I’d have some fun and install the Noise Engineering Melotus Versio firmware for a bit of a play about.
I’ve never used anything granular before (and that probably shows!), so I thought I’d record my first ever play about and see what happens (That’s mainly for my benefit, so I can watch the video back and see what does/doesn’t work). Don’t expect anything too exciting! I wasn’t really aiming for anything too musical, just getting a basic feeling for how the module works/sounds/etc. It’s not particularly integrated into any particular workflow, and there will be the odd silence and terrible sounding bits here and there (plus a few moments where it gets a little out of control). It took a while to realise I was missing a few core cables from my backbone patch as well (a symptom to troubleshooting the ole synth sadly)
That’s us
