Full title reads: “QUEENSWAY - The King so named the undersea road joining Liverpool and Birkenhead when he performed the opening ceremony.“ Liverpool and Birkenhead, Merseyside. Various shots of the mass crowd cheering as the King’s car arrives for the opening of the Mersey tunnel, Liverpool. King George V and Queen Mary leaving the car. They shake hands with several dignitaries. King addressees the crowd (natural sound) - he expresses great pleasure etc. King presses the golden switch and the curtain at the entrance of tunnel lifts up to reveal the tunnel. King names the tunnel ’The Queensway’. King and Queen enter their car again to drive through the tunnel. Crowd cheering loudly.
