Arpimba for Marimba and Harp-Anna Ignatowicz-Glińska - Dona Amyrotou(marimba) Oktawia Bylicka (harp)

It was a great honor and joy to premier and perform in different occasions with my wonderful and close friend Oktawia Bylicka, the piece “Arpimba” a duet for marimba and harp, composed by the Polish composer Anna Ignatowicz-Glińska. “Arpimba” is a fascinating and unique piece not only because of the rare combination of instruments, but also because marimba and harp end up sounding like one instrument. Oktawia and I are sincerely grateful for all the help and guidance of both the composer Anna Ignatowicz-Glińska and our professor and well-known marimba player Katarzyna Myćka that accompanied us throughout our journey, a journey full of hard work but most of all great collaboration, bonding and of course breathtaking music.
