HA-HSF, Kamov Ka-26 - Escape from the storm!

The afternoon of this day started pretty much the same as another one with a spraying helicopter. The work was in progress, the amount of sprayed hectare increased, when suddenly the weather blew up! The pilot decided to finish the job immediately, and flew back to the farmyard. We were lucky, we managed to get down from the air right before the supercell arrived and caught us... Fortunately the ice came with lots of rain, so it was not harmful for the helicopter. HA-HSF was produced in 1976 at Kumertau (Russia), she started her career in the fleet of Aeroflot as CCCP-19668. Later she become UR-19668 and was used for pipeline control in the Kiev region under Spec-Avia titles. She stood derelight for some years in Kiev-Borodyanka airfiled, then in 2011 Urbán Ltd. bought and brought her to Hungary. She got the current registration nr. and started to operate as a crop duster helicopter with HA-MMD and HA-MRN. Her main base now is at Őcsény airfield.
