The track was performed by Joe on our AQ2 drums equipped with the factory mounted, single ply Remo heads. For the overheads, Joe used Aston Origin microphones recorded through an API 3124 preamp. The bass drums and snares were recorded through the API Channelstrips so Joe had the chance to compress the signals with analogue gear before they entered the audio interface. All the other microphones were also recorded through API preamps or the Universal Audio Unison preamps. The 22“ bass drum was recorded with a Audix D6 mic placed inside of the kick. The smaller bass drums were recorded with the microphone placed about 8 inch in front of the drum.
