Parade For War Hero Cpl. Dwyer Vc (1914-1918)

Parade honouring Australian Victoria Cross hero of World War One, Corporal Dwyer. Location of events unknown - could be London? Opens with shot of city street. Children running across street before parade; people standing on curb. Two policemen on horses go by; young boys stride up along side of street; 2 carts pass; a driver sitting on load of lumber. Marching band coming along street; followed by soldiers; 2 small dogs chase between them. Very nice tracking shot in front of bank, moving up street along with soldiers and civilians. Tracking shot of carriage pulled by white horse. Shot over hats of crowd; they are turned away looking at the hero soldier standing up in carriage. He sits down (disappears). The cart with the driver sitting on load of boards comes into picture. Amendment February 2012: A visitor to the website has provided some more information.
