Tenshin ryu Hyouho has one behavior called “杖太刀 (Tsue-Dachi)”.
Tsue-Dachi is behavior to keep the sword upright on the ground like the photo when we remove the sword from obi, called “脱刀 (Datto)”.
And such behavior is not existed in only Tenshin ryu Hyouho.
It is obvious from photos in the Bakumatsu period and pictures in the Edo period that such behavior is normal. And such description can be found in the old books written about old customs and manners.
