This color film contains raw footage from the Apollo 12 mission in November 1969. Apollo 12 was the sixth crewed flight in the United States Apollo program and the second to land on the Moon. It was launched on November 14, 1969, from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, . Its objective was to perform detailed scientific lunar exploration. The astronauts onboard were Charles “Pete“ Conrad, Richard F. Gordon, and Alan L. Bean. The Command and Service Module for the mission was given the call sign Yankee Clipper, while the LM had the call sign Intrepid, both nods to the fact that the crew was from the U.S. Navy.
