Antanas Smetona Sūduvoje 1927

“Iš p. Respublikos Prezidento kelionės po Lietuvą“ 1927 metų pavasaris. In 1927, the President of Lithuania, Antanas Smetona, toured the country with the goal of strengthening national unification and confidence in his government. The Presidents trip encompassed villages and small towns as well as cities, in his entourage included leading government figures. These frames show the Presidents departure from Kaunas, then Lithuanias provisional capital, and travelled through the province of Suvalkija (Sūduva) in the South West of Lithuania, as well as visits to high schools and an agricultural fair. Po to kai 1926 metų gruodžio mėnesį ryžtingi ir pasišventę Tėvynei Lietuvos kariuomenės karininkai su generolu Povilu Plechavičiumi priešakyje išgelbėjo Lietuvos Respubliką nuo komunistų ruošiamo perversmo ir Sovietinės okupacijos, Lietuvos Respublikos Prezidentas Antanas Smeton
