Gifford Pinchot NF S2S Weekend Part 1 | Summits on the Air | Morse Practice

Devon and I wanted to do a couple nights of camping for Memorial Day weekend. Why not choose a spot that has quick access to some SOTA summits? This video covers our first two days camping in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. First summit was Steamboat Mtn (W7W/LC-020) and the next day I hiked up the road from our camp to West Twin Butte (W7W/LC-043). Lots of other SOTA activators were out in the area that weekend and there were plenty of Summits to Summits to be had! On West Twin Butte I messed up my spot and it took a bit of comms to get it corrected. Thanks for correcting my spot K7ATN! This weekend I also had my first QSO with Steve WG0AT! Part 2 coming soon!
