Guandong Lau Gar Kuen - 广东 刘家拳 - Short Docu Extras -General Information: Lau Gar Kuen is one of the five great styles in Guandong Province besides Hung, Choy, Lee, Mo Family Kung Fu. There are three men credited with the creation of Lau Gar Kuen. A man called Liu Sheng, Liu Qingshan and Liu Sanyan. To this day it seems disputed who it was. I am usually not a docu guy but this one seemed to be a strictly private production. The docu is around 6 minutes. Since luckily someone filmed additional material that wasnt used in the docu I found some of it and added it. -Technical Aspects: The bridges seem to be pretty short and mostly hard. I think you can see some of the stepping that was later added to Hung Kuen and interestingly enough a part of the closing salute is Southern Shaolin.
