When he’s about to step on the plane -where Blaine is already waiting for him, he hesitates for a second, but then remembers he has to do this for Blaine. At that moment the plane [with Blaine inside] explodes. The next day, Kurt comes to visit Cooper [at the bureau where he works again] and blames him because the people who let the plane explode where after Cooper and Cooper should’ve protected Blaine. Little does Kurt know that Cooper blames himself, too. Cooper keeps having flashbacks to the explosion and moments he spent with Blaine, and Kurt knows this by the looks on his face. Cooper can’t concentrate on work anymore and decides to go home -which doesn’t really help, obviously. The next day, Kurt comes to apologize to Cooper and says it wasn’t his fault and that he was just very upset and he’s going to miss Blaine. Cooper
