Moon Mapping (1953)

No titles. Bexleyheath, Kent. Percy Wilkins opens French windows and walks into his garden. Various shots of him using a huge 18 inch home-made telescope at night out there. Commentator tells us that over the last 21 years Percy has used the telescope to chart the surface of the moon. View of the moon through the telescope (photograph). His daughter comes out of the house carrying a rolled map. The pair examine it and Percy makes new drawings on paper, working from the map and the view through the telescope. Back in the house, we see Percy opening a large book (or manuscript) called ’Map Of The Moon’ that he wrote. He turns the pages to show the detailed drawings of the surface of the moon.
