Almost Endless! - Metal Detecting LOADS of Silver, Tokens, & Depression Relics Scattered Everywhere!
All winter long when the ground everywhere else was frozen we were able to metal detect at this amazing field that we lovingly call The Field of 1,000 Holes. Not only did it have soft sandy soil that took much colder temperatures to freeze, but it is also just loaded with Depression era coins, tokens, silverware, keys, buttons, marbles, badges; you name it, it was there and it was old! We think it was some kind of dumping ground for restaurants, schools, and businesses in the pre-WWII era but we’ve never been able to verify it. Even when the ground was thawing at other much older fields, we still kept coming back because this place was a home run time and time again after what seemed like countless trips. Now as winter is coming to a close and the farmer is getting ready for his spring plow we will lose this place until after the fall harvest.
