Meet Eddie, the lad from Liverpool, and the owner of Mellowcroft, a stunning smallholding in Mid Wales. Eddie is a fantastic character who has created a life on some beautiful forest land, as well as a hub for creative minds to get together. The land has a number of different buildings and areas that are all built by Eddie himself, including his home that is built off the back of a lorry! He used only reclaimed materials, even his kitchen was out of skip! In this video, Eddie tells us the story of his long battle with the council over his land, he was served enforcement notices to leave, had a battle in court, and ended up in jail! Eddie can now do what he wants on his own land, and the council and police have backed off as a result of a twist in the story... find out more in the video!
