Featuring Pink Martini’s lead vocalist China Forbes, and vocalist Timothy Nishimoto, “Ocho kandelikas“ is an upbeat gem from the band’s seminal holiday album “Joy to the World.“ The song was written by Flory Jagoda in the rarely heard language of Ladino, a Judeo-Spanish language mixing elements of Old Spanish, Hebrew, Turkish, and other languages common to the Iberian Peninsula in the 16th century.
