Alessandra Rich SS2024 Soundtrack & Official Show Video (Paris Fashion Week)

From Venus with Love was the theme and inspiration for Alessandra Rich’s SS24 collection presented at Paris Fashion Week. 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞: “Venus, the brightest and the only planet named after a female god, the reign of love and beautv. Rotating very slowly, the Venusian days are very long and hot, really hot. Bored on Venus we are landing on our hard high heeled boots, protected in our black leather clothes full of metal zips, tools to play with on our space space directly to the runway we are the girls from another planet, we come to party. Satellites in the eyes, star dust on the hair, our skin sparkles in in the night. You can’t understand our words but you can hear our metallic body language, a disorienting and sensual experience. We come from the future, headed into infinity. Forceful and confident, we just want to hypnotise you with our transcendental vibes. Play with us. detach from the planet Earth.” 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 For this show, we composed over 24 minutes of original music divided into 2 sections - the walk in music and the show music. 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟 The brief for the SS24 show placed an equal emphasis on the walk in music to create a mystical, dark, and spiritual atmosphere in the venue as the as guests arrive, followed by a seamless transition to the show without a break in the audio, we worked in the reverse from what we normally do - we developed the Atmospheric walk in music and the transition first. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭 & 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 We conceptualised the show as a sexy sci-fi fairytale - light hearted but with dark and futuristic elements. There are 3 main parts: 𝐀𝐭𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞 This is the walk in music and has 3 movements - Venus, Space Distortion, and The Temple. These movements are soundscapes to represent Venus, the space travel to reach Earth, and the temple where the goddesses land. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 A transitional section allowing a seamless transition to the main show music. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 The main show soundtrack. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 We used Diana’s vocals in all three sections to represent the High Priestess Shaman of the Venetians. This was the first soundtrack where we used an all Elysia mastering chain consisting of the Karacter, Xpressor Neo, and the Xfilter in their innovative Qube format. We decided to move to an all Elysia chain because we needed a more portable and lighter analog mastering chain that would be easier for us to use on stage than our current chain that provided the same incredible level of analog processing.
