Perry Mastodon exhibit at Wheaton College

In 1963, bones from an 11,000 year old fossil mastodon, an extinct elephant-like mammal from the last ice age was accidentally unearthed in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, on the property of federal judge Joseph Samuel Perry. Geologists from the Field Museum and Wheaton College helped to restore the skeleton. It is on permanent display at the Edwin Deicke Hall on the campus of Wheaton College. This video records the audio narration as the mastodon spins slowly on a turntable.
