The angriest bunch of fans in motorsport history?

A strong rivalry between Ford and Nissan exploded after the 1992 Bathurst 1000. After a severe storm brought the race to an end short of its scheduled distance, Jim Richards and Mark Skaife were declared the winners, despite Richards crashing the car during the final green flag lap. Richards and Skaife along with teammates Anders Olofsson and Neil Crompton were met with ferocious boos and chants of “bullshit“ from the pro Ford crowd as they came onto the podium. Crompton was the first to respond, giving the crowd the middle finger as he was walking off, while Richards called the fans a “pack of assholes“ during his victory speech.
